How to Juggle Easter Holidays Without Dropping the Ball (or the Eggs!)

Ah, Easter! The time of year when chocolate eggs multiply faster than my inbox and school holidays sneak up out of nowhere! If you’re anything like me, a master juggler, you’re probably wondering how on earth you’re going to keep your clients happy and make magical memories with the kids.

Deep breath.

You’ve got this (and I’m here to help).

Plan Like a Pro (Before the Kids are Off!)

The key to surviving the Easter break? Planning ahead. I always spend a little time a few weeks before mapping out:

Client Deadlines: Prioritise deliverables and communicate with clients early so they know when you’ll be offline (and when you won’t).

Your Calendar: Block out time for work and fun. I put in ‘meetings’ for Easter egg hunts, movie afternoons and catch ups with friends because if it’s not in the diary, it won’t happen!

Support Systems: For me, I delegate a few tasks to my virtual assistant to free up time for the things that matter most. Use your team to keep the everyday stuff ticking over.

Be Realistic (Perfection Isn’t the Goal)

I used to aim for this picture-perfect holiday/work-life balance… spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist!

Some days, the kids will have screen time while you jump on a Zoom call. Other days, you’ll log off early to bake hot cross buns (I wish!!! grabbing them from the shop is fine, no judgement!).

Give yourself permission to flex. What matters is being present when it counts, whether that’s for a client presentation or an Easter bonnet parade.

Involve the Kids (They Can Be Part of Your World)

If you work from home, let the kids in on what you’re doing (within reason!). Mine love ‘helping’ by ticking off to-do lists, fetching me water during meetings (little legends) and generally stealing all of my printer paper….

Plus, I bribe them with Mini Eggs (works every time).

Protect Your Energy

This isn’t just about managing time, it’s about managing your energy. Easter break can be exhausting if you’re stretched too thin.

Take moments for yourself: a morning coffee in peace, a quick yoga session or just stepping outside for fresh air.

A recharged you is the best gift you can give your family and your clients.

Remember Why You’re Doing It

Running your business gives you freedom and flexibility, but sometimes we forget to use it.

These are the days you’re building your business for the chance to make memories without asking for permission.

So close the laptop, hide the phone and get stuck into the Easter egg hunt.

Final Thought: You can juggle it all…just not all at once.

Prioritise, plan and give yourself some grace.

After all, Easter comes once a year… but your clients will thank you for showing up refreshed and recharged when you’re back in action.

Enjoy your break!
